Why Seventh Sense
Seventh Sense is a Singapore deep-tech company built on a decade of computer vision, deep learning, and cryptography research. We started by proving our face recognition in public, at NIST. Then we asked a harder question: why should recognizing a face require storing one?
Our story
Seventh Sense began in computer vision, building face recognition that could stand examination. In 2021 we entered the NIST Face Recognition Technology Evaluation under our own name, and we have maintained that commitment through our latest submissions.
But conventional face recognition has a contradiction at its heart: to recognize a face later, it has to store one now. A biometric template, in a database, forever. The better the recognition got, the bigger that honeypot grew. So we built a different architecture, where the live face recreates a cryptographic key at the moment of use, and the key is never kept at rest.
Our emblem draws on Algiz, the ancient rune of protection. A fitting mark for a company built on it.
Our standard of rigor
Our liveness detection is tested by iBeta to ISO 30107-3 Levels 1 and 2, and our face recognition is evaluated in the NIST FRTE. We resubmit as our models change; neither lab takes our word for anything.
Face tokenization came out of years of our own research and is patent-pending. It removes the thing every other biometric system must defend: the template database.
SenseCrypt is built on open identity standards rather than lock-in, because infrastructure you can leave is infrastructure you can trust.

Investors
Seventh Sense is funded by investors spanning defense technology, government innovation, and global venture capital. Their support helped us take privacy-preserving identity research out of the lab and into production.

The strategic investment arm and wholly owned subsidiary of DSTA, a statutory board under Singapore's Ministry of Defence. Cap Vista is a lead investor in Seventh Sense.

What we stand for
We publish our results under our own name and link the report card, so your security review can verify our claims without ever asking us.
A policy can be changed; an architecture can't. We designed SenseCrypt so there is nothing biometric to hand over or lose, and no future policy can undo that choice.
Phones get lost and replaced; the person is the constant. Sign in with your face, and re-establish access on a new device the same way.
